Hollow Knight Silksong walkthrough: Part 22 (Mount Fay)
Reach the summit for the wonderful Faydown Cloak

Need some help tackling the cold climbs of Mount Fay in Hollow Knight: Silksong? The temperature in Mount Fay is as dangerous as any predator, and makes this ascension one of the most unique experiences in Silksong. Thankfully, climbing the mountain in the far north-west of the map is well worth the trouble, as it gives you access to one of Hornet’s strongest late-game movement tools, as well as a powerful new weapon and yet another Mask Shard.
Follow along with Part 22 of our Hollow Knight: Silksong walkthrough as we detail every step of the ascent up Mount Fay, showing you how to acquire the Faydown Cloak at its summit, as well as everything else of value along the way.

1. Unlock the Slab Bellway.
To reach Mount Fay, you need to take a direct path through The Slab - a desolate prison region that we’ll properly explore later. Fast Travel to the Choral Chambers Ventrica Station, and climb up to the level just above the Citadel Spa. Then head left, as far as you can go.
Head along the long bridge of enemies - most of them will only spawn once you’re most of the way across the bridge - and exit through the other side to enter The Slab.

Climb the cages in the centre of the room to reach the ceiling, where you’ll find one small round cage with an item inside; hit it to break it open and loot the item for a Frayed Rosary String. Then pull the lever at the left side of the room and head through.

Kill the enemy in the next room - a Guardfly - and beware its goo-spewing attack, which can hold you still for a couple of seconds. Then drop down the signposted hole in the ground. There are some Shard rocks to break on your right, but after that just follow the path all the way, killing the enemies in your path, and battering down any circular gates in your way.

Once you reach the locked door with the keyhole, drop down to the level below and exit off-screen. In this next room, you can find a Bench on the right-hand side to rest at, and The Slab Bellway on your left. Unlock it for a scant 40 Rosaries if you have enough.
2. Grab the Spool Fragment on the edge of Mount Fay.
The path to Mount Fay is on the other side of the Bellway, but before you go there, head back upwards into the room with the Guardfly. To your left is a little area with another Guardfly and an item in another cage which you can loot for a Shard Bundle.

After that, climb up to the upper ledges and wall-climb to the room above you. Head to the left, killing the Drapemites and sprinting over the pressure plate traps along the way until you exit outside.
Out here, the icy temperatures of Mount Fay will start to damage you before long. Quickly climb up to the higher ledge to collect a Spool Fragment; then return the way you came.
3. Buy the Mount Fay map from Shakra.
Make your way back to the Bellway, cross over it, and exit out into Mount Fay. Again - the cold temperature will damage you before very long, and once it starts damaging you, it drains your health fast . This obviously puts a clock on everything you do in Mount Fay, but there are areas of warmth that act as checkpoints.

This first section introduces the idea to you gently. There’s nothing of interest below you, so just clawline across the two ring hooks and over to the next room. Here you’ll find Shakra, next to a nice warming lantern and a Bench for you to rest at.
Exhaust Shakra’s dialogue, and buy her Mount Fay map for 40 Rosaries.

4. Reach the upper ledge.
Optionally, you can head straight to the left of Shakra at this point, and into the room beyond. At the end of the corridor you’ll find areas of warmth, and a tablet which gives you some lore about Mount Fay. Then make your way back to Shakra.

Climb the two tiny ledges to the left of Shakra over the ice, and then clawline over to the ledge on your right. You’ll be doing a lot of clawline-ing in this region, so looking for these opportunities for quick horizontal movement should become second nature to you.
Jump over to the upper-right ledge for some warmth, then exit out the right doorway. From here, you need to climb, and climb fast. Past the breakable ledges you’ll need to clawline to the Driftlin enemy, and then to the hook above, and keep going. Once you reach the ledge with the Silk cobweb, you need to climb up the left-hand wall and clawline onto the hook above you.

You get the idea - lots of clawline usage is necessary. I won’t detail every single movement you need to do - just know that the solution is almost always to clawline. Eventually you’ll reach a little bubble of warmth for you to recover at.
From there, follow the path winding up and over the spikes to the next warmth bubble (on the wall); then head over to the opposite wall and keep climbing. Past the next three Driftlins you’ll reach firmer footing; run to the left and you’ll find warmth. From there, you can enter the room to your left.
5. Cross the lake to the next Bench.

Strike the spools along the corridor to regain some Silk, and then head to the end of the ledge. From here, you need to jump across and hug the left-hand wall. Slide down it until you reach a ledge far below that you haven’t been to before.
You can strike the spool on the ceiling in this next corridor for even more Silk if you need it. A few steps further in, and you’ll awaken a new enemy - an automaton called a Servitor Boran, which uses a charge-up laser to blast you.

Past the Servitor, you’ll find a frozen lake in the next room. Dropping into the lake will instantly set the temperature to “killing you” levels. Clawline the first three enemies, and then on the third enemy, jump up, face the other way, and clawline onto the hook. From there you can climb up to a temporary area of warmth.
After this, keep heading to the left, using clawlines on whatever’s available. There are a couple of large overhanging rocks which will drop to the ground when you come into contact with them, giving you a (relatively) safe platform on the ice lake.

Make your way to the very end of the lake, and you’ll arrive in a warm room with a trapdoor leading to a Bench below. To get to the Bench, exit out to the left, drop down to the bottom of the following room, then turn around and break open the wall on your right. You can then pay 60 Rosaries to unlock the Bench and rest.
6. Obtain the Memory Crystal.
Climb up above the Bench and hit the lever above you to open the trapdoor. But before you head upwards, drop back down and attack the wall to the right of the Bench for a secret passage.

Collect the Rosaries along the way, and then drop down the hole and quickly destroy all the ice balls in front of you, so you can reach the area of warmth beyond. Here, you can attack the white crystal to your right until it drops an item - the Memory Crystal.

This handy blue-slot tool leaves a fast-acting trap at your location whenever you take damage - very useful when fighting swarms of low-level enemies, such as during gauntlet arena battles.
7. Rescue the Flea from the ice.
Return to the Bench and rest, then head up through the trapdoor and climb to the exit above you. Use the area of warmth on your left as a starting point; then make your way up the next parkour course, clawline-ing to the first enemy to your right in order to make your way further up.

After the first bubble of warmth, you’ll need to clawline your way over the spikes above, and then quickly clawline to the enemy to your right as you drop down. Before long you’ll reach the far-right side, where another bubble of warmth can be found next to a right-hand exit.

Go through the exit, and follow the path to the top-right side where the next warmth bubble is located. But before forging ahead, turn back at that last crystal wall to your left, jump over to it, and then keep climbing upwards to reveal a hidden passage.
Here you must slice your way through another load of ice crystals - and one of them, near the top-right, contains a poor frozen Flea waiting to be rescued. Free the Flea, and then return to the bubble of warmth below.

8. Reach the summit to acquire the Faydown Cloak.
Exit to the right, and clawline your way over the next ice lake. Replenish your Silk as needed from the spool above you, then just keep heading to the right, into the next room - where you’ll find another Servitor Boran to kill.
In the room beyond, break through the wall to unlock a useful shortcut up here from the ledge below you. Then jump off the ledge to the right. You’ll need to do some quick clawline-ing to make your way up to the exit above. Once you’re up there, run to the left and destroy the breakable wall of sacks to reveal a Bench to rest at.

To proceed from the Bench, climb up the small wall just to your right, and then clawline to the hook above. From there, just keep climbing and clawline-ing all the way up, until you reach the warmth bubble just below another exit upwards.

You’re nearly at the top now - climb up the wall to your right, and then launch yourself to the left, where you’ll slide a little way down until you reach a large air current. Ride the air current all the way up to the summit.

Interact with the large tuning fork, and play your Needolin when prompted to acquire the Faydown Cloak (and meet a friend).
9. Craft the Silkshot tool.
Congratulations - you now have the Faydown Cloak, and can double-jump at will! It may take you some time to get used to having to hit jump three times to activate your float, but overall it’s a marvellous upgrade.
Not only that - with the Faydown Cloak equipped, you are immune to the cold temperatures of Mount Fay. No more having to do everything as fast as possible!

Before you do anything else, carefully drop off the right-hand edge of the tuning fork platform, and drift down to the lower ledge on your left. Enter the room inside the cave, and you can rest at the Bench there.

You can also interact with the table on the far left side, allowing you to craft arguably the most powerful version of the Silkshot tool out of that Ruined Tool you acquired ages back . As a reminder, you need to have delved partially into Bilewater from Sinner’s Road, and entered Weavenest Murglin to have acquired the Ruined Tool.
This is one of my favourite weapon tools - it’s fast-acting, long-range, penetrates multiple enemies, and has a decent number of shots before you need to craft more.
10. Visit the Mask Maker.

Exit out of the Silkshot tool cave, and drop down off-screen. Now retrace your steps back to the giant air current that lifted you up to the summit. But instead of riding it all the way up, jump off to the ledge on your left about halfway up.
You can now use your double-jump to reach the ledge above and exit off-screen. At the far end of the platform, drop down onto the ice slide below (or just drift down for a safer but less fun journey).

At the end of the slide, you’ll find a hole in the ground, as well as a hole in the wall to the left right by it. Go through the left-hand hole and follow the path. This next parkour course is designed to make you use your double-jump a lot to reach high enough for the next clawline or wall-grab. Once you reach the top, you’ll find a small hovel you can enter to meet the Mask Maker.
This NPC is mostly here for flavour text and lore - you don’t actually get anything from them. However, there’s a unique interaction possible here - strike the Mask Maker with a charged attack to break off their mask, and then speak with them for some more interesting lore.

11. Acquire the Mask Shard.
Make your way back to the hole in the ground, and drop down it. Hit the lever here to open the trapdoor, and then drop further down, back into the long diagonal climb you made earlier. Drop to the very bottom, and you’ll find that first Bench once again.

There’s just one thing left to do in Mount Fay now, and it’s incredibly easy with your Faydown Cloak. Exit to the west room, and make your way just below the hollowed out broken tower above you. Then double-jump up to reach the wall, and climb up to access the Mask Shard at the top. A final parting gift from Mount Fay.
Now that we have both the Clawline and the Faydown Cloak, there’s a lot of different areas of previous regions that we can now access where we couldn’t before. Join us in Part 23 of our Silksong walkthrough to visit each one and complete a variety of miscellaneous quests and tasks at once!

All 75 Arc Raiders Blueprints and where to get them
These areas have the highest chance of giving you Blueprints

Looking for more Arc Raiders Blueprints? It’s a special day when you find a Blueprint, as they’re among the most valuable items in Arc Raiders. If you find a Blueprint that you haven’t already found, then you must make sure you hold onto it at all costs, because Blueprints are the key to one of the most important and powerful systems of meta-progression in the game.
This guide aims to be the very best guide on Blueprints you can find, starting with a primer on what exactly they are and how they work in Arc Raiders, before delving into exactly where to get Blueprints and the very best farming spots for you to take in your search.
We’ll also go over how to get Blueprints from other unlikely activities, such as destroying Surveyors and completing specific quests. And you’ll also find the full list of all 75 Blueprints in Arc Raiders on this page (including the newest Blueprints added with the Cold Snap update , such as the Deadline Blueprint and Firework Box Blueprint), giving you all the information you need to expand your own crafting repertoire.
In this guide:
- What are Blueprints in Arc Raiders?
- Full Blueprint list: All crafting recipes
- Where to find Blueprints in Arc Raiders Blueprints obtained from quests Blueprints obtained from Trials Best Blueprint farming locations

What are Blueprints in Arc Raiders?
Blueprints in Arc Raiders are special items which, if you manage to extract with them, you can expend to permanently unlock a new crafting recipe in your Workshop. If you manage to extract from a raid with an Anvil Blueprint, for example, you can unlock the ability to craft your very own Anvil Pistol, as many times as you like (as long as you have the crafting materials).
To use a Blueprint, simply open your Inventory while in the lobby, then right-click on the Blueprint and click “Learn And Consume” . This will permanently unlock the recipe for that item in your Workshop. As of the Stella Montis update, there are allegedly 75 different Blueprints to unlock - although only 68 are confirmed to be in the game so far. You can see all the Blueprints you’ve found and unlocked by going to the Workshop menu, and hitting “R” to bring up the Blueprint screen.
It’s possible to find duplicates of past Blueprints you’ve already unlocked. If you find these, then you can either sell them, or - if you like to play with friends - you can take it into a match and gift it to your friend so they can unlock that recipe for themselves. Another option is to keep hold of them until the time comes to donate them to the Expedition.

Note: The missing Blueprints in this list likely have not actually been added to the game at the time of writing, because none of the playerbase has managed to find any of them. As they are added to the game, I will update this page with the most relevant information so you know exactly how to get all 75 Arc Raiders Blueprints.
Where to find Blueprints in Arc Raiders
Below is a list of all containers, modifiers, and events which maximise your chances of finding Blueprints:
- Certain quests reward you with specific Blueprints .
- Completing Trials has a high chance of offering Blueprints as rewards.
- Surveyors have a decent chance of dropping Blueprints on death.
- High loot value areas tend to have a greater chance of spawning Blueprints.
- Night Raids and Storms may increase rare Blueprint spawn chances in containers.
- Containers with higher numbers of items may have a higher tendency to spawn Blueprints. As a result, Blue Gate (which has many “large” containers containing multiple items) may give you a higher chance of spawning Blueprints.
- Raider containers (Raider Caches, Weapon Boxes, Medical Bags, Grenade Tubes) have increased Blueprint drop rates. As a result, the Uncovered Caches event gives you a high chance of finding Blueprints.
- Security Lockers have a higher than average chance of containing Blueprints.
- Certain Blueprints only seem to spawn under specific circumstances: Tempest Blueprint only spawns during Night Raid events. Vulcano Blueprint only spawns during Hidden Bunker events. Jupiter and Equaliser Blueprints only spawn during Harvester events.

Raider Caches, Weapon Boxes, and other raider-oriented container types have a good chance of offering Blueprints. |Image credit:Rock Paper Shotgun/Embark Studios
Blueprints have a very low chance of spawning in any container in Arc Raiders, around 1-2% on average. However, there is a higher chance of finding Blueprints in particular container types. Specifically, you can find more Blueprints in Raider containers and security lockers.
Beyond this, if you’re looking for Blueprints you should focus on regions of the map which are marked as having particularly high-value loot. Areas such as the Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds, the Arrival and Departure Buildings in Spaceport, and Pilgrim’s Peak in Blue Gate all have a better-than-average chance of spawning Blueprints somewhere amongst all their containers. Night Raids and Electromagnetic Storm events also increase the drop chances of certain Blueprints .
In addition to these containers, you can often loot Blueprints from destroyed Surveyors - the largest of the rolling ball ARC. Surveyors are more commonly found on the later maps - Spaceport and Blue Gate - and if one spawns in your match, you’ll likely see it by the blue laser beam that it casts into the sky while “surveying”.
Surveyors are quite well-armoured and will very speedily run away from you once it notices you, but if you can take one down then make sure you loot all its parts for a chance of obtaining certain unusual Blueprints.
Blueprints obtained from quests
One way in which you can get Blueprints is by completing certain quests for the vendors in Speranza. Some quests will reward you with a specific item Blueprint upon completion, so as long as you work through all the quests in Arc Raiders, you are guaranteed those Blueprints.
Here is the full list of all Blueprints you can get from quest rewards:
- Trigger Nade Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Sparks Fly”.
- Lure Grenade Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Greasing Her Palms”.
- Burletta Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Industrial Espionage”.
- Hullcracker Blueprint (and Launcher Ammo Blueprint): Rewarded after completing “The Major’s Footlocker”.
Alas, that’s only 4 Blueprints out of a total of 75 to unlock, so for the vast majority you will need to find them yourself during a raid. If you’re intent on farming Blueprints, then it’s best to equip yourself with cheap gear in case you lose it, but don’t use a free loadout because then you won’t get a safe pocket to stash any new Blueprint you find. No pain in Arc Raiders is sharper than failing to extract with a new Blueprint you’ve been after for a dozen hours already.

One of the best ways to get Blueprints is by hitting three stars on all five Trials every week. |Image credit:Rock Paper Shotgun/Embark Studios
Blueprints obtained from Trials
One of the very best ways to get Blueprints is as rewards for completing Trials in Arc Raiders. Trials are unlocked from Level 15 onwards, and allow you to earn rewards by focusing on certain tasks over the course of several raids. For example, one Trial might task you with dealing damage to Hornets, while another might challenge you to loot Supply Drops.
Trials refresh on a weekly basis, with a new week bringing five new Trials. Each Trial can offer up to three rewards after passing certain score milestones, and it’s possible to receive very high level loot from these reward crates - including Blueprints. So if you want to unlock as many Blueprints as possible, you should make a point of completing as many Trials as possible each week.
Best Blueprint farming locations
The very best way to get Blueprints is to frequent specific areas of the maps which combine high-tier loot pools with the right types of containers to search. Here are my recommendations for where to find Blueprints on every map, so you can always keep the search going for new crafting recipes to unlock.

Dam Battlegrounds
The best places to farm Blueprints on Dam Battlegrounds are the Control Tower, Power Generation Complex, Ruby Residence, and Pale Apartments . The first two regions, despite only being marked on the map as mid-tier loot, contain a phenomenal number of containers to loot. The Control Tower can also contain a couple of high-tier Security Lockers - though of course, you’ll need to have unlocked the Security Breach skill at the end of the Survival tree.
There’s also a lot of reporting amongst the playerbase that the Residential areas in the top-left of the map - Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence - give you a comparatively strong chance of finding Blueprints. Considering their size, there’s a high density of containers to loot in both locations, and they also have the benefit of being fairly out of the way. So you’re more likely to have all the containers to yourself.
Buried City
The best Blueprint farming locations on Buried City are the Santa Maria Houses, Grandioso Apartments, Town Hall, and the various buildings of the New District . Grandioso Apartments has a lower number of containers than the rest, but a high chance of spawning weapon cases - which have good Blueprint drop rates. The others are high-tier loot areas, with plenty of lootable containers - including Security Lockers.
Spaceport
The best places to find Blueprints on Spaceport are the Arrival and Departure Buildings, as well as Control Tower A6 and the Launch Towers . All these areas are labelled as high-value loot regions, and many of them are also very handily connected to one another by the Spaceport wall, which you can use to quickly run from one area to the next. At the tops of most of these buildings you’ll find at least one Security Locker, so this is an excellent farming route for players looking to find Blueprints.
The downside to looting Blueprints on Spaceport is that all these areas are hotly contested, particularly in Duos and Squads. You’ll need to be very focused and fast in order to complete the full farming route.

Blue Gate
Blue Gate tends to have a good chance of dropping Blueprints, potentially because it generally has a high number of containers which can hold lots of items; so there’s a higher chance of a Blueprint spawning in each container. In my experience, the best Blueprint farming spots on Blue Gate are Pilgrim’s Peak, Raider’s Refuge, the Ancient Fort, and the Underground Complex beneath the Warehouse .
All of these areas contain a wealth of containers to loot. Raider’s Refuge has less to loot, but the majority of the containers in and around the Refuge are raider containers, which have a high chance of containing Blueprints - particularly during major events.
Stella Montis
On the whole, Stella Montis seems to have a very low drop rate for Blueprints (though a high chance of dropping other high-tier loot). If you do want to try farming Blueprints on this map, the best places to find Blueprints in Stella Montis are Medical Research, Assembly Workshop, and the Business Center . These areas have the highest density of containers to loot on the map.
In addition to this, the Western Tunnel has a few different Security Lockers to loot, so while there’s very little to loot elsewhere in this area of the map, it’s worth hitting those Security Lockers if you spawn there at the start of a match.
That wraps up this primer on how to get all the Blueprints in Arc Raiders as quickly as possible. With the Expedition system constantly resetting a large number of players’ Blueprints, it’s more important than ever to have the most up-to-date information on where to find all these Blueprints.
While you’re here, be sure to check out our Arc Raiders best guns tier list , as well as our primers on the best skills to unlock and all the different Field Depot locations on every map.
