The fifth chapter of Doom: The Dark Ages - The Holy City Of Aratum - is structured rather differently from the chapters that came before it. Most of this chapter is played atop a massive Serrat Dragon, and is more open and less linear than previous areas - which makes it even easier to miss the carefully hidden secrets strewn about the city.
There’s a grand total of 9 secrets to discover in The Holy City Of Aratum, and several of them are hidden at secret landing areas for your Dragon which you must explore the city to find. Below we’ll walk you through how to uncover all the secrets of Chapter 5 , with a handy map showing the fastest route to each secret, and in-depth step-by-step instructions on how to find all 9 secret locations .

All The Holy City Of Aratum secrets (Chapter 5)
There are 9 secrets to find within The Holy City Of Aratum, and some of them are very easily missed unless you’re careful and check every dark corner of the level. Here’s the full list of all 9 secrets in Chapter 5 and where to find them:
| Secret | Location | Reward | Found? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Secret 1 | Below the secret landing area by the lefthand Titan | 55x Gold | |
| Secret 2 | Secret landing area below the central Carrier | “Nightmare” Skin for Pulverizer, 15x Gold | |
| Secret 3 | Secret landing area below the central Carrier | 1x Ruby, 6x Gold | |
| Secret 4 | In the city along the righthand Carrier path | 64x Gold | |
| Secret 5 | In the city along the righthand Carrier path | Life Sigil, 8x Gold | |
| Secret 6 | In the building on the lefthand Carrier path | “The Holy City Of Aratum” Codex, 8x Gold | |
| Secret 7 | In the building on the lefthand Carrier path | 1x Ruby | |
| Bonus 1 | In the building on the lefthand Carrier path | Life Sigil | |
| Secret 8 | Beyond the building on the lefthand Carrier path | “Serrat” Toy | |
| Secret 9 | Beyond the bridge on the lefthand Carrier path | 50x Gold | |
| Bonus 2 | At the end of the backmost Carrier path | “Deag Loric” Codex |
To help you find each secret location in Chapter 5, you can consult the map above for a handy progress route that takes you to all 9 secrets. You can also read on for full descriptions of each secret area in The Holy City Of Aratum.
Note: Normally we indicate the presence of “Points Of No Return” between the secrets in each chapter, but because Chapter 5 is more open-ended and you can approach the four Hell Carriers in any order, we haven’t done that this time. Bear in mind though that any secrets on a Hell Carrier’s “path” must be found before you reach the end of the path, because after you leave the Carrier, it will explode and stop you from returning there unless you start the chapter again.
Secret 1: Landing Area on lefthand Titan (Gold)

- Location: Below the secret landing area by the lefthand Titan.
- Solution: Head down the steps beneath the landing area.
- Reward: 55x Gold
The first secret in Chapter 5 can be found at a secret landing area on your left once you reach the “open world” section of the level where you must destroy the four Hell Carriers. Head to the left around the city outskirts and you’ll see a Titan on a platform nearby. Kill the Titan, and then land your dragon on the platform.
Once you’ve landed, drop down to the lower ledge on the side of the platform, and you’ll see a stairway down into the secret underground region of the platform. You’ll find 5x Gold pickups on the stairs, and then a chest you can break open for another 50x Gold on top of that.
Secret 2: Beneath central Secret Landing Area (Skin, Gold)

- Location: Secret landing area below the central Carrier.
- Solution: Follow the trail of gold near the cultists.
- Reward: “Nightmare” Skin for Pulverizer, 15x Gold
This secret is one of two, both of which are hidden in the other secret landing area of The Holy City Of Aratum. To reach this landing area, fly straight downwards directly below the central Hell Carrier until you find two Titans on platforms just like the first. Kill them both, and you’ll be able to land in this secret area.
From there, drop down to the lower area left of the tower with the Red Keycard door. Below you’ll find a group of cultists for you to kill; after that, follow the trail of Gold beneath the bridge, drop down to the even lower ledge, and then turn right through the broken wall, just before the climbable wall at the end of the path.
This secret area is little more than a short corridor containing a few more Gold pickups, and - just in front of the exit - a “Nightmare” Skin pickup for the Pulverizer.
Secret 3: Red Keycard in Secret Landing Area (Ruby, Gold)

- Location: Secret landing area below the central Carrier.
- Solution: Stand on the button and Shield Throw the lock that appears.
- Reward: 1x Ruby, 6x Gold
The next secret is also located in the secret landing area far below the central Hell Carrier. Once you’ve killed the Titans and landed, stand atop the green button on the floor and a central column will raise in the island. Throw your Shield at the superheated lock that appears on it, causing the column to plummet back down.
Now you can drop down into that circular hole where the column once stood. It’s filled with water, so swim to the valve on the wall and turn it to drain the room. After that you can open the central gate with a Shield Throw through the back window, allowing you to collect the Red Keycard inside.
Once you’ve done this, use the jump pad to reach the top again, and open the Red Keycard door to collect your reward of 6x Gold and a single Ruby.
Secret 4: Cultist area in righthand Carrier path (Gold)

- Location: In the city along the righthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Drop down the hole near the Sentinel Shrine.
- Reward: 64x Gold
Chapter 5’s next secret is found only after crashing the righthand Hell Carrier. Once you’ve taken out its guns, land on the Carrier and follow the path until you drop down into the city below. Continue until you reach the central outdoor area with the Sentinel Shrine; then turn right (from facing the Shrine) and follow the trail of Gold to a hole that you can jump down.
Inside the hole is another group of cultists to kill, and a room with a large number of pickups including some Gold. After that, drop into the water at the end of the path and swim until you reach a second area filled with NPC soldiers. Here, there’s a chest containing more Gold, and a locked door you can Shield Throw to open which takes you back onto the main path.
Secret 5: Blue Keycard in righthand Carrier path (Life Sigil, Gold)

- Location: In the city along the righthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Turn right at the breakable door and follow the path.
- Reward: Life Sigil, 8x Gold
This next secret is locked behind the Blue Keycard door, just beyond the Sentinel Shrine in the righthand Hell Carrier area. Climb the wall near the Sentinel Shrine, and follow the path until you reach the breakable door inside the ship. Turn right and exit out of the ship instead of going through the breakable door, then follow the path around the cliffside.
Defeat the demons here and then climb the wall. On the left you’ll find the Blue Keycard on a corpse. Once you have that, just drop down to the platform in front of you and open the Blue Keycard door to reach the 8x Gold and Life Sigil in this secret area.
Secret 6: Wooden walkway past Super Shotgun pickup (Codex, Gold)

- Location: In the building on the lefthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Turn right just after the Super Shotgun pickup.
- Reward: “The Holy City Of Aratum” Codex, 8x Gold
Secret 6 is located on the lefthand Hell Carrier path, so head to this Carrier and bring it down so that you can land there. Proceed until you reach the Super Shotgun pickup, then head into the building beyond and defeat the demons there.
Once you’ve done that, go back to the start of the building just after the stairs downwards, then take a right turn. You’ll find a superheated chain draped over a doorway which you can break open. Follow the wooden walkway around the edge of the building and you’ll come to a large secret area with more cultists, as well as the “The Holy City Of Aratum” Codex entry and 8x Gold (though be aware that picking up the Gold triggers another fight).
Secret 7: Green button past Super Shotgun pickup (Ruby)

- Location: In the building on the lefthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Shield Throw the chandelier above the green button.
- Reward: 1x Ruby
The next secret is found in the same building as the previous one, just after the Super Shotgun pickup on the lefthand Hell Carrier path. Near the end of the hallway you’ll find a green button on the floor on a raised ledge. Pressing this button opens the gate in front of you, but it’ll close the moment you step off the button.
To solve this little puzzle, look up and Shield Throw the superheated lock on the chandelier above you. The chandelier will land on the button, pressing it down permanently and allowing you into the secret room, where you can collect a Ruby from the statue inside.
Bonus: Life Sigil

- Location: In the building on the lefthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Drop down the hole next to the green button.
- Reward: Life Sigil
This isn’t a secret area but it’s worth mentioning: while you’re near the green button in the lefthand Carrier path building, take a moment to drop down the hole just behind the button. This will lead you to an out-of-the-way room with a few ammo pickups and a Life Sigil.
You can then head back to the bottom of the hole and use a new green button to activate an elevator to the top again.
Secret 8: Hidden ledge past Super Shotgun pickup (Toy)

- Location: Beyond the building on the lefthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Drop down the righthand edge before the bridge.
- Reward: “Serrat” Toy
The penultimate secret in The Holy City Of Aratum is found just after you exit the building on the lefthand Hell Carrier path. Exit out of the building (past the green button of the previous secret), and then jump off the righthand edge just before the bridge to reach a hidden walkway below.
Follow the path into a room and you’ll have to face another small demon encounter. After that, head through the next doorway and up a couple of climbable walls to reach the secret area containing the collectible toy for Chapter 5: an adorable little Serrat.
Secret 9: Breakable Door in lefthand Carrier path (Gold)

- Location: Beyond the bridge on the lefthand Carrier path.
- Solution: Drop off the bridge and Shield Charge the wall.
- Reward: 50x Gold
The final secret area in Chapter 5 is yet again found along the lefthand Hell Carrier path. Head through the building beyond the Super Shotgun pickup, and then cross the bridge and drop down into the demon-infested room below.
Once you’ve cleared the room of demons, simply head up the steps in the corner and Shield Charge through the breakable wall at the top. This leads to a circular arena with a crate of 50x Gold. Fair warning: once you’ve broken it, you’ll be attacked by a couple more Hell Knights for your trouble.
Bonus: “Deag Loric” Codex Entry

- Location: At the end of the backmost Carrier path.
- Solution: Turn around once you reach the end of the path.
- Reward: “Deag Loric” Codex
The final collectible of Chapter 5 isn’t technically in a secret area, but it’s worth including for your 100% run. The backmost Hell Carrier holds this collectible, so land there and head down this path (which incidentally unlocks the Cycler weapon for you).
Once you get to the glowing red “Point Of No Return” at the very end of this path, drop down and turn around. Up the steps and around the corner to the right is a handful of Gold and the “Deag Loric” Codex Entry.
That wraps up our guide to all the secrets hidden within The Holy City Of Aratum. If you’re seeking aid on a different chapter of Doom: The Dark Ages, check out the links at the top of this page!

All 75 Arc Raiders Blueprints and where to get them
These areas have the highest chance of giving you Blueprints

Looking for more Arc Raiders Blueprints? It’s a special day when you find a Blueprint, as they’re among the most valuable items in Arc Raiders. If you find a Blueprint that you haven’t already found, then you must make sure you hold onto it at all costs, because Blueprints are the key to one of the most important and powerful systems of meta-progression in the game.
This guide aims to be the very best guide on Blueprints you can find, starting with a primer on what exactly they are and how they work in Arc Raiders, before delving into exactly where to get Blueprints and the very best farming spots for you to take in your search.
We’ll also go over how to get Blueprints from other unlikely activities, such as destroying Surveyors and completing specific quests. And you’ll also find the full list of all 75 Blueprints in Arc Raiders on this page (including the newest Blueprints added with the Cold Snap update , such as the Deadline Blueprint and Firework Box Blueprint), giving you all the information you need to expand your own crafting repertoire.
In this guide:
- What are Blueprints in Arc Raiders?
- Full Blueprint list: All crafting recipes
- Where to find Blueprints in Arc Raiders Blueprints obtained from quests Blueprints obtained from Trials Best Blueprint farming locations

What are Blueprints in Arc Raiders?
Blueprints in Arc Raiders are special items which, if you manage to extract with them, you can expend to permanently unlock a new crafting recipe in your Workshop. If you manage to extract from a raid with an Anvil Blueprint, for example, you can unlock the ability to craft your very own Anvil Pistol, as many times as you like (as long as you have the crafting materials).
To use a Blueprint, simply open your Inventory while in the lobby, then right-click on the Blueprint and click “Learn And Consume” . This will permanently unlock the recipe for that item in your Workshop. As of the Stella Montis update, there are allegedly 75 different Blueprints to unlock - although only 68 are confirmed to be in the game so far. You can see all the Blueprints you’ve found and unlocked by going to the Workshop menu, and hitting “R” to bring up the Blueprint screen.
It’s possible to find duplicates of past Blueprints you’ve already unlocked. If you find these, then you can either sell them, or - if you like to play with friends - you can take it into a match and gift it to your friend so they can unlock that recipe for themselves. Another option is to keep hold of them until the time comes to donate them to the Expedition.

Note: The missing Blueprints in this list likely have not actually been added to the game at the time of writing, because none of the playerbase has managed to find any of them. As they are added to the game, I will update this page with the most relevant information so you know exactly how to get all 75 Arc Raiders Blueprints.
Where to find Blueprints in Arc Raiders
Below is a list of all containers, modifiers, and events which maximise your chances of finding Blueprints:
- Certain quests reward you with specific Blueprints .
- Completing Trials has a high chance of offering Blueprints as rewards.
- Surveyors have a decent chance of dropping Blueprints on death.
- High loot value areas tend to have a greater chance of spawning Blueprints.
- Night Raids and Storms may increase rare Blueprint spawn chances in containers.
- Containers with higher numbers of items may have a higher tendency to spawn Blueprints. As a result, Blue Gate (which has many “large” containers containing multiple items) may give you a higher chance of spawning Blueprints.
- Raider containers (Raider Caches, Weapon Boxes, Medical Bags, Grenade Tubes) have increased Blueprint drop rates. As a result, the Uncovered Caches event gives you a high chance of finding Blueprints.
- Security Lockers have a higher than average chance of containing Blueprints.
- Certain Blueprints only seem to spawn under specific circumstances: Tempest Blueprint only spawns during Night Raid events. Vulcano Blueprint only spawns during Hidden Bunker events. Jupiter and Equaliser Blueprints only spawn during Harvester events.

Raider Caches, Weapon Boxes, and other raider-oriented container types have a good chance of offering Blueprints. |Image credit:Rock Paper Shotgun/Embark Studios
Blueprints have a very low chance of spawning in any container in Arc Raiders, around 1-2% on average. However, there is a higher chance of finding Blueprints in particular container types. Specifically, you can find more Blueprints in Raider containers and security lockers.
Beyond this, if you’re looking for Blueprints you should focus on regions of the map which are marked as having particularly high-value loot. Areas such as the Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds, the Arrival and Departure Buildings in Spaceport, and Pilgrim’s Peak in Blue Gate all have a better-than-average chance of spawning Blueprints somewhere amongst all their containers. Night Raids and Electromagnetic Storm events also increase the drop chances of certain Blueprints .
In addition to these containers, you can often loot Blueprints from destroyed Surveyors - the largest of the rolling ball ARC. Surveyors are more commonly found on the later maps - Spaceport and Blue Gate - and if one spawns in your match, you’ll likely see it by the blue laser beam that it casts into the sky while “surveying”.
Surveyors are quite well-armoured and will very speedily run away from you once it notices you, but if you can take one down then make sure you loot all its parts for a chance of obtaining certain unusual Blueprints.
Blueprints obtained from quests
One way in which you can get Blueprints is by completing certain quests for the vendors in Speranza. Some quests will reward you with a specific item Blueprint upon completion, so as long as you work through all the quests in Arc Raiders, you are guaranteed those Blueprints.
Here is the full list of all Blueprints you can get from quest rewards:
- Trigger Nade Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Sparks Fly”.
- Lure Grenade Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Greasing Her Palms”.
- Burletta Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Industrial Espionage”.
- Hullcracker Blueprint (and Launcher Ammo Blueprint): Rewarded after completing “The Major’s Footlocker”.
Alas, that’s only 4 Blueprints out of a total of 75 to unlock, so for the vast majority you will need to find them yourself during a raid. If you’re intent on farming Blueprints, then it’s best to equip yourself with cheap gear in case you lose it, but don’t use a free loadout because then you won’t get a safe pocket to stash any new Blueprint you find. No pain in Arc Raiders is sharper than failing to extract with a new Blueprint you’ve been after for a dozen hours already.

One of the best ways to get Blueprints is by hitting three stars on all five Trials every week. |Image credit:Rock Paper Shotgun/Embark Studios
Blueprints obtained from Trials
One of the very best ways to get Blueprints is as rewards for completing Trials in Arc Raiders. Trials are unlocked from Level 15 onwards, and allow you to earn rewards by focusing on certain tasks over the course of several raids. For example, one Trial might task you with dealing damage to Hornets, while another might challenge you to loot Supply Drops.
Trials refresh on a weekly basis, with a new week bringing five new Trials. Each Trial can offer up to three rewards after passing certain score milestones, and it’s possible to receive very high level loot from these reward crates - including Blueprints. So if you want to unlock as many Blueprints as possible, you should make a point of completing as many Trials as possible each week.
Best Blueprint farming locations
The very best way to get Blueprints is to frequent specific areas of the maps which combine high-tier loot pools with the right types of containers to search. Here are my recommendations for where to find Blueprints on every map, so you can always keep the search going for new crafting recipes to unlock.

Dam Battlegrounds
The best places to farm Blueprints on Dam Battlegrounds are the Control Tower, Power Generation Complex, Ruby Residence, and Pale Apartments . The first two regions, despite only being marked on the map as mid-tier loot, contain a phenomenal number of containers to loot. The Control Tower can also contain a couple of high-tier Security Lockers - though of course, you’ll need to have unlocked the Security Breach skill at the end of the Survival tree.
There’s also a lot of reporting amongst the playerbase that the Residential areas in the top-left of the map - Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence - give you a comparatively strong chance of finding Blueprints. Considering their size, there’s a high density of containers to loot in both locations, and they also have the benefit of being fairly out of the way. So you’re more likely to have all the containers to yourself.
Buried City
The best Blueprint farming locations on Buried City are the Santa Maria Houses, Grandioso Apartments, Town Hall, and the various buildings of the New District . Grandioso Apartments has a lower number of containers than the rest, but a high chance of spawning weapon cases - which have good Blueprint drop rates. The others are high-tier loot areas, with plenty of lootable containers - including Security Lockers.
Spaceport
The best places to find Blueprints on Spaceport are the Arrival and Departure Buildings, as well as Control Tower A6 and the Launch Towers . All these areas are labelled as high-value loot regions, and many of them are also very handily connected to one another by the Spaceport wall, which you can use to quickly run from one area to the next. At the tops of most of these buildings you’ll find at least one Security Locker, so this is an excellent farming route for players looking to find Blueprints.
The downside to looting Blueprints on Spaceport is that all these areas are hotly contested, particularly in Duos and Squads. You’ll need to be very focused and fast in order to complete the full farming route.

Blue Gate
Blue Gate tends to have a good chance of dropping Blueprints, potentially because it generally has a high number of containers which can hold lots of items; so there’s a higher chance of a Blueprint spawning in each container. In my experience, the best Blueprint farming spots on Blue Gate are Pilgrim’s Peak, Raider’s Refuge, the Ancient Fort, and the Underground Complex beneath the Warehouse .
All of these areas contain a wealth of containers to loot. Raider’s Refuge has less to loot, but the majority of the containers in and around the Refuge are raider containers, which have a high chance of containing Blueprints - particularly during major events.
Stella Montis
On the whole, Stella Montis seems to have a very low drop rate for Blueprints (though a high chance of dropping other high-tier loot). If you do want to try farming Blueprints on this map, the best places to find Blueprints in Stella Montis are Medical Research, Assembly Workshop, and the Business Center . These areas have the highest density of containers to loot on the map.
In addition to this, the Western Tunnel has a few different Security Lockers to loot, so while there’s very little to loot elsewhere in this area of the map, it’s worth hitting those Security Lockers if you spawn there at the start of a match.
That wraps up this primer on how to get all the Blueprints in Arc Raiders as quickly as possible. With the Expedition system constantly resetting a large number of players’ Blueprints, it’s more important than ever to have the most up-to-date information on where to find all these Blueprints.
