Every single face of every single block in the game is made up of 256 pixels of varying colours, and over 10 years of mining and exploring, we players can get very used to those textures. But there are so many other options out there once you start to introduce texture packs into your game.

There’s a stunning variety of Minecraft texture packs out there nowadays. Some packs update every single block in the game to look different, while others only change one or two block types. Some aim to make Minecraft’s textures as realistic and high resolution as possible, while others opt for a more stylised, thematic approach.

Below we’ve listed the best texture packs for Minecraft in 2025. They range from extremely realistic and high resolution (512x) all the way down to 8x and less, and we’ve included a section at the top of the list explaining how to install a Minecraft texture pack, for those who are just now looking to try out their first texture pack. How to install Minecraft texture packs for Java Edition

Here’s how to install a Minecraft texture pack for Java Edition:

1. Download your chosen texture pack. It will appear in your Downloads folder as a ZIP file.
2. Open up a new window of Windows Explorer and type into the address bar: “%appdata%.minecraft” and hit Enter. You’ll be brought to your Minecraft directory.
3. Click on the “resourcepacks” folder to open it.
4. Move the ZIP file of your downloaded texture pack into this “resourcepacks” folder.
5. Launch Minecraft. In the Settings menu, click on “Resource Packs”, find your downloaded texture pack in the left column and click the arrow icon that appears when you hover over it. Then click Done and start playing!

Note that most of the texture packs below require Optifine to use.

Sapixcraft texture packs stand out from the rest in a couple of ways. Firstly, there are lots of packs to choose from, each at a different resolution ranging from 16x all the way up to a staggering 512x so you can pick the right pack for your machine.

Secondly, Sapixcraft, while available at very high resolutions, doesn’t go for the hyper-realistic route with its textures. Instead, everything is more colourful and cartoon-like, making your worlds very easy on the eyes, and the perfect counterpart to a good Minecraft shader pack .

Dark Renaissance

Dark Renaissance Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 256x Download link: Dark Renaissance (1.19.4)

Dark Renaissance is an extremely high-fidelity texture pack based on another long-extinct pack inspired by the Dark Souls series of games. As such, installing Dark Renaissance will instantly give your worlds and builds a darker, more mysterious atmosphere. If you’ve ever wanted to dip your structures in a gothic-inspired series of paints, look no further.

The foliage on this texture pack is absolutely top-notch as well, and really makes you feel like you’re discovering a Minecraft landscape for the first time again. It’s a great pack to use when you’ve got a Minecraft map to fill out and lots of exploring to do.

Tooniverse

Tooniverse Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 64x-256x Download link: Tooniverse (1.21.6)

Woah - is this even still Minecraft? The answer is yes, despite the fact that the huge smiling sun in the sky looks like something out of Teletubbies. Seriously, Tooniverse is an texture pack with gorgeous colours that manages to transform Minecraft’s pixelated visuals into something wonderfully cartoony - perhaps even too cartoony for some! This pack even goes so far as to change the fonts and boxes present in Minecraft’s UI, and the overall effect makes me feel as if Minecraft and Roblox had a baby.

My one qualm with the pack is the lack of assets in the sky, since all you’ve got is that sun shining down on you. But there’s no denying that Tooniverse skins Minecraft in a unique, colourful bubblegum wrapper. Try it out if you want something crisp and bright, or if you just want to see what your awesome Minecraft castle looks like cel-shaded.

LB Photo Realism Reload

LB Photo Realism Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 128x Download link: LB Photo Realism (1.20.4)

LB Photo Realism is a very popular realistic texture pack, with the particular lure of not straying too far from the default Minecraft textures.

Instead, it just ramps up the resolution and quality, giving any Minecraft vista an instant and effective makeover. Everything from naturally-spawning Villages to your own custom house will look fantastic with this texture pack enabled.

Misa’s Realistic

Misa’s Realistic Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 64x Download link: Misa’s Realistic (1.20.3)

Misa’s Realistic texture pack walks a fine line between realistic, high-res textures and performance. The tones of Misa’s pack are just a little desaturated, making it easier to play Minecraft for extended periods; but its bold style, particularly with building blocks, still allows you to pick out the little details even at a distance.

Epic Adventures

Epic Adventures Texture Pack

Epic Adventures is a lovely 32x texture pack which stays very true to the default Minecraft look, despite the added pixel density. Of particular note here is the wonderful fluffiness of both the clouds and the leaves on trees, so you should build a tower that stretches to the sky to check them out. A lovely pack for gandering about forests searching for bees or other forest-dwelling Minecraft mobs .

Mythic

Mythic Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 32x Download link: Mythic (1.20.4)

Mythic is another texture pack that gives your Minecraft game a darker veneer that reminds me of a 2000s-era CRPG like Morrowind. This is most noticeable when it comes to the reskinned mobs - the villagers look significantly serious and rugged, for instance, while the zombies and other creatures are all more frightful. At times, the semi-serious look of the reskinned NPCs comes across as unintentionally goofy (as seen in the screenshot above - hello Yoda-esque villager), but if the normally bright vibes of Minecraft aren’t your style (or if you’re setting up a dark fantasy server) then Mythic is a fun pack to install.

Faithful

Faithful Texture Pack

I remember using Faithful what feels like (and could well have been) nearly a decade ago. It’s one of the longest-standing texture packs, and it rose to stardom by remaining - you guessed it - incredibly faithful to the vanilla textures. It’s all very unintimidating, familiar, and easy to get used to. If default Minecraft had 32x32 textures, it would look like this.

Wanderlust

Wanderlust Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 32x Download link: Wanderlust (1.18.1)

Wanderlust is many things, but in particular it’s a great texture pack for underground spaces like the ravine shown in the above screenshot. Just look at the cragginess of those rocks. It just makes you want to run your hand over them.

Wanderlust takes Minecraft’s textures in a slightly murkier direction but keeps everything looking rich and beautiful in the process.

Bloom

Bloom Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 16x Download link: Bloom (1.19)

Bloom is as vibrant as any texture pack on this list, but it also manages to somehow strike a balance between familiarity and cartooniness with its charming repeating textures. The world looks great but the items are where Bloom really shines, looking like they’ve been plucked out of an SNES game. It makes me much more excited about working my way up to powerful items like Potions and Enchanted tools.

Retro NES

Retro NES Texture Pack

Speaking of old Nintendo visuals, if you want to go full-on reminiscent of Mario and his friends, then install the Retro NES texture pack for a wonderful trip back to yesteryear. You’ll be greeted by those nostalgic hills with eyes from Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World, and that’s just the start of the throwback visuals here. Expect to see colours inspired by the NES’ limited-but-potent palette, though if you combine this pack with a powerful Minecraft shader (which we’ve done in the above screenshot, using BSL Shaders), it’ll feel like you’re playing a beautiful NES game in the way that you remember it, not necessarily in the way it actually was!

Jicklus

Jicklus Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 16x Download link: Jicklus (1.20.1)

Jicklus certainly achieves its author’s goal of creating a more rustic look for Minecraft without resorting to higher resolutions. All the textures in this pack look bucolic and organic, and the sides of mountains and cliffs in particular look wonderful as a result. It’s a great texture pack to try out for a splash of originality in your Minecraft world without upping the resolution beyond vanilla.

Jolicraft

Jolicraft Texture Pack

Jolicraft is an interesting mix of vibrant colours and more muted pastel colours. This mix adds a very powerful and bold look to any Minecraft landscape. I particularly love the new textures for the different Minecraft mobs, both passive and hostile. The Endermen are wonderful.

Quadral

Quadral gives Minecraft players a wonderfully crisp and punchy look, making great use of patterns to create interesting landscapes that eschew realism in favour of character. Whether you’re atop a mountain, deep underground, or in the Nether searching for Netherite , Quadral’s impact on the textures around you will make you feel like you’re playing a different game altogether.

Bytecraft

Bytecraft Texture Pack

Bytecraft accomplishes an awful lot considering it’s using only half the resolution of default Minecraft for each texture. With Bytecraft each vista looks just as detailed and characterful as vanilla, but you’ll likely find you can run Minecraft much more easily on lower-end machines with Bytecraft installed.

Ultra FPS Booster

Ultra FPS Booster Texture Pack

Ultra FPS Booster pushes PvP texture packs to the extreme with its so called 1x1 texture resolutions. That’s right, almost every block in the game is a single flat colour, including ores.

It will take a while to get used to this pack, but there’s no denying its power both as a tool for clarity and as a way of dramatically increasing your frame rate while playing Minecraft. A great pack to use on various PvP Minecraft servers - as long as those servers permit the use of such texture packs.

Xray Ultimate

Xray Ultimate Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 16x Download link: Xray Ultimate (1.20.3)

Xray Ultimate is a solid example of a Minecraft X-Ray pack for Java Edition. These packs are infamous for their cheaty method of making absolutely every block invisible except for ores, allowing you to see straight through the world and find out where all the ores are.

There are plenty of legitimate uses for X-Ray packs, but I must warn you that if you’re trying to use this pack on a server to gain an advantage over other players, you’ll likely be found and banned from the server. Visible Ores

Visible Ores Texture Pack

Texture Pack resolution: 16x Download link: Visible Ores (1.20.2)

Visible Ores is far less ethically questionable than an X-Ray pack. It doesn’t expose ores that you couldn’t already see: it just gives every ore block an outline and emissive light to help you see them more easily. If you find yourself repeatedly missing ores the first time you head through a cave, then Visible Ores might be the best texture pack for you. With this texture pack, you won’t miss a single piece of ore, so you’ll be ready to fight the Wither in no time.

Looking for more Arc Raiders Blueprints? It’s a special day when you find a Blueprint, as they’re among the most valuable items in Arc Raiders. If you find a Blueprint that you haven’t already found, then you must make sure you hold onto it at all costs, because Blueprints are the key to one of the most important and powerful systems of meta-progression in the game.

This guide aims to be the very best guide on Blueprints you can find, starting with a primer on what exactly they are and how they work in Arc Raiders, before delving into exactly where to get Blueprints and the very best farming spots for you to take in your search.

We’ll also go over how to get Blueprints from other unlikely activities, such as destroying Surveyors and completing specific quests. And you’ll also find the full list of all 75 Blueprints in Arc Raiders on this page (including the newest Blueprints added with the Cold Snap update , such as the Deadline Blueprint and Firework Box Blueprint), giving you all the information you need to expand your own crafting repertoire.

What are Blueprints in Arc Raiders?

Blueprints in Arc Raiders are special items which, if you manage to extract with them, you can expend to permanently unlock a new crafting recipe in your Workshop. If you manage to extract from a raid with an Anvil Blueprint, for example, you can unlock the ability to craft your very own Anvil Pistol, as many times as you like (as long as you have the crafting materials).

To use a Blueprint, simply open your Inventory while in the lobby, then right-click on the Blueprint and click “Learn And Consume” . This will permanently unlock the recipe for that item in your Workshop. As of the Stella Montis update, there are allegedly 75 different Blueprints to unlock - although only 68 are confirmed to be in the game so far. You can see all the Blueprints you’ve found and unlocked by going to the Workshop menu, and hitting “R” to bring up the Blueprint screen.

It’s possible to find duplicates of past Blueprints you’ve already unlocked. If you find these, then you can either sell them, or - if you like to play with friends - you can take it into a match and gift it to your friend so they can unlock that recipe for themselves. Another option is to keep hold of them until the time comes to donate them to the Expedition.

Below is the full list of all the Blueprints that are currently available to find in Arc Raiders, and the crafting recipe required for each item:

Note: The missing Blueprints in this list likely have not actually been added to the game at the time of writing, because none of the playerbase has managed to find any of them. As they are added to the game, I will update this page with the most relevant information so you know exactly how to get all 75 Arc Raiders Blueprints.

Where to find Blueprints in Arc Raiders

Below is a list of all containers, modifiers, and events which maximise your chances of finding Blueprints:

• Certain quests reward you with specific Blueprints .
• Completing Trials has a high chance of offering Blueprints as rewards.
• Surveyors have a decent chance of dropping Blueprints on death.
• High loot value areas tend to have a greater chance of spawning Blueprints.
• Night Raids and Storms may increase rare Blueprint spawn chances in containers.
• Containers with higher numbers of items may have a higher tendency to spawn Blueprints. As a result, Blue Gate (which has many “large” containers containing multiple items) may give you a higher chance of spawning Blueprints.
• Raider containers (Raider Caches, Weapon Boxes, Medical Bags, Grenade Tubes) have increased Blueprint drop rates. As a result, the Uncovered Caches event gives you a high chance of finding Blueprints.
• Security Lockers have a higher than average chance of containing Blueprints.
• Certain Blueprints only seem to spawn under specific circumstances: Tempest Blueprint only spawns during Night Raid events. Vulcano Blueprint only spawns during Hidden Bunker events. Jupiter and Equaliser Blueprints only spawn during Harvester events.

Blueprints have a very low chance of spawning in any container in Arc Raiders, around 1-2% on average. However, there is a higher chance of finding Blueprints in particular container types. Specifically, you can find more Blueprints in Raider containers and security lockers.

Beyond this, if you’re looking for Blueprints you should focus on regions of the map which are marked as having particularly high-value loot. Areas such as the Control Tower in Dam Battlegrounds, the Arrival and Departure Buildings in Spaceport, and Pilgrim’s Peak in Blue Gate all have a better-than-average chance of spawning Blueprints somewhere amongst all their containers. Night Raids and Electromagnetic Storm events also increase the drop chances of certain Blueprints .

In addition to these containers, you can often loot Blueprints from destroyed Surveyors - the largest of the rolling ball ARC. Surveyors are more commonly found on the later maps - Spaceport and Blue Gate - and if one spawns in your match, you’ll likely see it by the blue laser beam that it casts into the sky while “surveying”.

Surveyors are quite well-armoured and will very speedily run away from you once it notices you, but if you can take one down then make sure you loot all its parts for a chance of obtaining certain unusual Blueprints.

Blueprints obtained from quests

One way in which you can get Blueprints is by completing certain quests for the vendors in Speranza. Some quests will reward you with a specific item Blueprint upon completion, so as long as you work through all the quests in Arc Raiders, you are guaranteed those Blueprints.

Here is the full list of all Blueprints you can get from quest rewards:

• Trigger Nade Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Sparks Fly”.
• Lure Grenade Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Greasing Her Palms”.
• Burletta Blueprint: Rewarded after completing “Industrial Espionage”.
• Hullcracker Blueprint (and Launcher Ammo Blueprint): Rewarded after completing “The Major’s Footlocker”.

Alas, that’s only 4 Blueprints out of a total of 75 to unlock, so for the vast majority you will need to find them yourself during a raid. If you’re intent on farming Blueprints, then it’s best to equip yourself with cheap gear in case you lose it, but don’t use a free loadout because then you won’t get a safe pocket to stash any new Blueprint you find. No pain in Arc Raiders is sharper than failing to extract with a new Blueprint you’ve been after for a dozen hours already.

Blueprints obtained from Trials

One of the very best ways to get Blueprints is as rewards for completing Trials in Arc Raiders. Trials are unlocked from Level 15 onwards, and allow you to earn rewards by focusing on certain tasks over the course of several raids. For example, one Trial might task you with dealing damage to Hornets, while another might challenge you to loot Supply Drops.

Trials refresh on a weekly basis, with a new week bringing five new Trials. Each Trial can offer up to three rewards after passing certain score milestones, and it’s possible to receive very high level loot from these reward crates - including Blueprints. So if you want to unlock as many Blueprints as possible, you should make a point of completing as many Trials as possible each week.

Best Blueprint farming locations

The very best way to get Blueprints is to frequent specific areas of the maps which combine high-tier loot pools with the right types of containers to search. Here are my recommendations for where to find Blueprints on every map, so you can always keep the search going for new crafting recipes to unlock.

Dam Battlegrounds

The best places to farm Blueprints on Dam Battlegrounds are the Control Tower, Power Generation Complex, Ruby Residence, and Pale Apartments . The first two regions, despite only being marked on the map as mid-tier loot, contain a phenomenal number of containers to loot. The Control Tower can also contain a couple of high-tier Security Lockers - though of course, you’ll need to have unlocked the Security Breach skill at the end of the Survival tree.

There’s also a lot of reporting amongst the playerbase that the Residential areas in the top-left of the map - Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence - give you a comparatively strong chance of finding Blueprints. Considering their size, there’s a high density of containers to loot in both locations, and they also have the benefit of being fairly out of the way. So you’re more likely to have all the containers to yourself.

Buried City

The best Blueprint farming locations on Buried City are the Santa Maria Houses, Grandioso Apartments, Town Hall, and the various buildings of the New District . Grandioso Apartments has a lower number of containers than the rest, but a high chance of spawning weapon cases - which have good Blueprint drop rates. The others are high-tier loot areas, with plenty of lootable containers - including Security Lockers.

Spaceport

The best places to find Blueprints on Spaceport are the Arrival and Departure Buildings, as well as Control Tower A6 and the Launch Towers . All these areas are labelled as high-value loot regions, and many of them are also very handily connected to one another by the Spaceport wall, which you can use to quickly run from one area to the next. At the tops of most of these buildings you’ll find at least one Security Locker, so this is an excellent farming route for players looking to find Blueprints.

The downside to looting Blueprints on Spaceport is that all these areas are hotly contested, particularly in Duos and Squads. You’ll need to be very focused and fast in order to complete the full farming route.

Blue Gate

Blue Gate tends to have a good chance of dropping Blueprints, potentially because it generally has a high number of containers which can hold lots of items; so there’s a higher chance of a Blueprint spawning in each container. In my experience, the best Blueprint farming spots on Blue Gate are Pilgrim’s Peak, Raider’s Refuge, the Ancient Fort, and the Underground Complex beneath the Warehouse .

All of these areas contain a wealth of containers to loot. Raider’s Refuge has less to loot, but the majority of the containers in and around the Refuge are raider containers, which have a high chance of containing Blueprints - particularly during major events.

Stella Montis

On the whole, Stella Montis seems to have a very low drop rate for Blueprints (though a high chance of dropping other high-tier loot). If you do want to try farming Blueprints on this map, the best places to find Blueprints in Stella Montis are Medical Research, Assembly Workshop, and the Business Center . These areas have the highest density of containers to loot on the map.

In addition to this, the Western Tunnel has a few different Security Lockers to loot, so while there’s very little to loot elsewhere in this area of the map, it’s worth hitting those Security Lockers if you spawn there at the start of a match.
